Jnana Therapeutics is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Medicinal Chemist to join our expanding team. This individual will use both traditional and parallel synthesis techniques to impact projects at all stages of discovery and development, and will be involved in the design and synthesis of tool molecules and chemical probes to further our understanding of SLC biology.
Engage in medicinal chemistry projects targeting SLCs of interest in collaboration with experienced medicinal chemists
Design and synthesis of small molecule modulators of SLC function
Design and synthesis of tool compounds and molecular probes to enable chemical biology target exploration
Interpret and analyze data using a range of software tools and computational approaches
Closely collaborate with colleagues, internal and external, in multiple scientific disciplines across R&D
Help to build and expand an innovative chemical biology platform for drug discovery
Qualifications and Skills:
Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry required, with + 1-5yr post-doctoral and/or industrial experience desirable
Expertise in modern synthetic methodologies and analytical techniques
Exemplary lab-based innovator
Eagerness to contribute in the hood
Familiarity with parallel synthesis and purification an advantage, but not required
Collaborative researcher with strong teamworking skills
Desire to contribute insights outside of core expertise
Ability to adapt to frequent change and thrive in a dynamic and entrepreneurial early-stage environment
