Advanced ICU Care, the leading tele-ICU provider in the United States, is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a part-time General Counsel.  This position is ideal for someone looking for flexibility or to supplement your current practice.  The General Counsel will actively manage and oversee all legal matters, including corporate, contract and healthcare regulatory compliance.

  • Drafts, reviews, edits and negotiates contracts including matters such as new clients, real estate, partnership agreements and employment agreements
  • Maintain corporate records and associated compliance in according with bylaws and articles of incorporation for the Company’s affiliated PC’s.
  • Facilitate establishment of new PC’s as needed (form, register, create governance documents)
  • Provides counsel to other team members on ad-hoc matters requiring legal input or advice such as HR matters, medical malpractice claims, medical staff office questions and healthcare regulatory compliance. Work with outside specialist counsels on matters requiring discrete expertise.
  • Serve on company’s Compliance Committee


  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Strong work ethic, good judgement and responsive to requests.
  • Strong strategic, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to manage and bring complex projects to close
  • Broad knowledge of contract law, healthcare regulatory and compliance regulations, and general corporate law.
  • Familiar with healthcare fraud and abuse laws and HIPAA
  • Demonstrated excellent negotiation skills
  • JD degree
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience (3+ plus years in healthcare).
  • Significant experience in general corporate matters, healthcare regulatory compliance, contracting, mergers/acquisitions
