Senior Scientist, Translational Bioinformatics and Biomarker Development at Pandion Therapeutics

Pandion Therapeutics is an exciting new company based in Cambridge MA, focused on drug discovery and development in autoimmunity and inflammation. We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist to support biomarker development efforts focusing on Pandion`s autoimmunity pipeline. The successful candidate will apply advanced data analysis skills in collaboration with a group of biomarker scientists to perform translational research and execute on predictive and pharmacodynamic biomarker strategies for programs in pre-clinical and clinical development.



  • Drive application of advanced analytic techniques, including systems biology tools, to extract disease biology insights and identify biological targets from large clinic-genomic biomarker datasets
  • Perform multivariate analysis of omics data
  • Assess and validate new biomarker technologies
  • Support development and execution on lead and exploratory biomarker strategies for multiple drug development projects
  • Effectively manage internal and external scientific collaborations and CROs
  • Participate and thrive in an interactive, team-oriented culture



Outstanding statistical and bioinformatics programming skills (using R, Python, OmicSoft, Genomics, Perl)

  • Hands-on experience with data processing and analysis, statistical interference techniques, multivariate analysis
  • Experience with establishing and validating links between phenotype and biomarker measurements, such as proteomics, genomics and imaging data
  • Proven experience analyzing and interpreting integrated, high throughput genomic data, including whole exome, whole transcriptome, and single cell next generation sequencing
  • Knowledge and understanding of current methods used to assess disease biology in clinical settings and experience with publicly available molecular biology data sets
  • Experience in clinical drug development is beneficial, including understanding of clinical development functions, e.g., biomarker development, clinical pharmacology and biostatistics
  • Familiarity with machine learning would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills are required



  • A PhD degree in bioinformatics/biomedical engineering/genetics and genomics or related fields is required
  • 5+ years of postdoctoral experience in basic or translational research, desirably in immunology-related field
  • Experience working in biotech/industry settings is highly preferable
