Senior Director of Marketing at Intuity Medical

Summary of Primary Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Senior Director of Marketing is responsible for all aspects of the strategic marketing plan including HCP and consumer promotion and enterprise digital strategy. The Senior Director of Marketing is also responsible for creating business plans, sales forecasts, identifying potential product pipeline opportunities, pricing and promotional mix strategies that will drive achievement of corporate milestones and revenue goals.

Position Description and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development of product.  Provide the vision and leadership necessary to build a world-class marketing group capable of maximizing company objectives
  • Identify and define customer requirements and develop recommendations for product portfolio
  • Develop commercial launch strategy including marketing mix – pricing, promotion and distribution pathways
  • Develop, implement and monitor marketing communications strategy including advertising, sales brochures and collateral, press releases, direct mail campaign, web, sales collateral, and other related activities
  • Implement reimbursement strategies for both third-party payers and CMS
  • Develop and manage critical vendor relationships to maximize key deliverables
  • Collect and analyze information on competitive product offerings, including features, pricing, and market positioning
  • Educate, train and manage communications with industry thought leaders including key physicians, CDE and other personnel
  • Provide regular feedback to management regarding market trends, as well as other critical issues which affect the attainment of corporate objectives
  • Attend relevant scientific and technical meetings and conferences
  • Support company goals and objectives, policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and FDA regulations 

Experience and Requirements:

  • 10+ years of biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry experience with strong marketing & launch experiences/skills including developing market strategies (segmentation, positioning, key messages, etc.), executing tactics and responsibility for revenue generation
  • Proven track record of leading successful digital strategies and marketing campaigns by identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that focuses on demand/awareness and lead generation strategies
  • Tactical execution experience in all channels, including SEO/SEM, email, social media, website/landing page optimization and display advertising campaigns
  • Experience in mobile app and CRM development a plus
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires that he or she successfully manage multiple projects and resources concurrently
  • Must be willing to travel 30-40%, including domestic and international travel
  • Proficiency with PC-based office computers, including familiarity with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Illustrator and Outlook required

Minimum Education:

  • BA/BS or equivalent combination of training and experience is required, MBA preferred
  • Diabetes or blood glucose industry experience preferred

Minimum Experience:

  • A minimum of 10+ years of marketing experience required in the biotech or pharmaceutical industries.
