Facilities Coordinator-I at Achaogen

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Facilities Coordinator-I will support the daily physical needs of our growing organization. This individual will support laboratory, office infrastructure, shipping and receiving resources to meet organizational needs. Facilities Coordinator-I will be responsible in assisting daily facilities best practices across all departments as the organization grows.



Essential Functions:

Support overall office, laboratory, and facilities. Perform daily checks to identify any safety and tenant improvements issues.
Stock and organize kitchen supplies in breakrooms and labs to ensure constant stock.
Set-up and take down tables and chairs for events, meetings, and daily functions.
Maintain all conference rooms in beginning of shift by wiping down whiteboards, stocking supplies and organizing the room.
Assist communicate with property management, building engineers, and vendors with facilities related concerns. (Lighting, smoke detectors, sprinklers systems, HVAC, etc.).
Support Facilities vendor relationships, ensuring work is being performed to scope in a safe and timely manner.
Relocate, assemble and install of office and lab furniture (keyboard trays, chairs, etc.).
Assist with preventative maintenance schedules for all building equipment, including facilities related equipment in labs to ensure minimal downtime.
Assist employees with their facility related needs, ensuring their productivity is optimally maintained. Follow through with email to establish communication/ confirmation.
Assist shipping and receiving, food and beverage, safety & security, EH&S, waste management and operations/maintenance.
Assist safety programs including EH&S, emergency response and evacuation planning.


Preferred Skills and Experience:

Proficient Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel, Word/Google.doc.
Basic skills and understanding of building management systems.
Recent Shipping and Laboratory a plus.


Preferred Education:

High school diploma or GED required.

Demonstrated ability to work safe in a fast paced, team environment with excellent interpersonal skills.
