The Project Manager is a key project delivery role in the Implementation / Operations team responsible for delivering projects based on corporate priorities. The successful candidate will lead projects by leveraging strong management skills, leadership, influence, communication and negotiation based on well-established stakeholder management abilities and strong collaborative working relationships. The Project Manager will primarily be responsible for participating in or leading new Implementation and System Initiatives projects. This includes managing through all aspects of both business and IT development lifecycles using industry standard practices such as risk management, project scheduling and stakeholder management.


  • Manage the development of new implementation / system initiatives from conception through launch

  • Define the scope of the project in collaboration with stakeholders, leadership, customers and business owners and develop project charters, detailed project plans and work breakdown structures

  • Ensure project deliverables are met and hold owners accountable for managing project issues, escalations and problem resolution

  • Facilitate project meetings, identify and communicate issues and statuses to drive decisions and manage stakeholder expectations

  • Drive delivery related to all aspects of assigned projects to business implementation

  • Identify and evaluate risks to project timeline/project plan and escalate issues as appropriate

  • Develop understanding of Concerto systems and evaluate how new products/functionalities can be incorporated into existing infrastructure

  • Monitor timeliness of data feeds and reporting due inbound from or outbound to client health plans

  • Work closely with IT to identify root cause and resolution of data discrepancies and delays

  • Provide excellent service and deliver timely responses to internal and external customers

  • Project manage key deliverables on client work plans in partnership with Utilization Management, Case Management and IT


  • Four (4) year undergraduate degree

  • 2-4 years of project experience demonstrating growth in managing complex and cross functional efforts

  • Demonstrated growth as a Project Manager leading and supporting projects including business and technology concepts

  • Demonstrated understanding of project management techniques and methods

  • Experience with Government programs (Medicaid, Medicare and the dual demonstration program)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Visio

  • Strong writing, presentation, critical thinking, and meeting leadership skills

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization; internally and externally

  • High energy, ability to work in a creative, entrepreneurial environment and think outside the box
